In Kilkis and more specifically in the village of Kato Apostoloi you will find our livestock unit “KOUKAKIS”. It is a family business that has been engaged for 3 generations in the reproduction of cows and cattle breeding with the aim of producing and marketing pure and quality meat and milk of excellent and uniquely nutritious quality.
Thanks to the experience and know-how of the agronomist, animal technician and owner Koukakis Panagiotis, our livestock unit is a pioneer in its field and is a point of reference for the tradition and guarantee in the production of delicious and healthy beef and cow's milk.
We managed to have a scientific staff of veterinarians in order to prevent infections and diseases of small and large animals so that there is no therapeutic treatment for the animals.
The result is that with prevention, the producer, together with the scientific staff of veterinarians, defeats treatment.
In the place where we come from, in Kilkis, are located modern facilities which are fully equipped with modern means to contribute to the health and well-being of the cattle, but also facilitate daily work. Thus, every day in our livestock unit with love and passion we raise cows and calves, always wishing to offer the consumer quality and safe products in milk and meat.
We have a large number of cows and calves which come from crossbred, dairy and meat-producing breeds. They grow up in a free controlled area under ideal conditions and are free grazing. In the winter months they are fed with the best food following all certification rules.
Our calves up to 4 months old are fed with mother's milk. After growth, fattening continues with plant-based feeds such as cereals, corn, barley, clover and organic mineral rocks (zeolite and attapulgite) that make the meat tastier and softer.
We cooperate with farmers from the surrounding areas of our prefecture and we are confident in the quality of the feed we use for breeding.
Thus, you in turn can be confident in the quality of the products we offer. Our products are available wholesale for butchers in Kilkis and throughout Greece.
We have females in pregnancy from 4-7 months, throughout the year, as well as male Taurids for breeding from 6-15 months. We breed cows and calves that carry controlled Pedigree purebred certificates for three generations.
